Slightly Overwhelmed

When did my life get so overwhelming?  I feel like I am so busy with work and school and what little free time I have left is spent on wedding stuff.  I don't have time to do a lot of the things I really enjoy doing.  Like blogging, or reading, or sending emails to bffs.  So right now I'm making time.  I have about 10 other things I should be doing right now, but they can wait.  It will all still be there after I do a blog post and send an email or two.

So, what's been going on in my life you might be wondering....

I just completed the most difficult task in school that I have ever been given.  I understood that grad school would be a challenge, but I didn't actually process that until this term.  So far it has kept me very busy and I have done a whole lot of writing, but that's to be expected.  And then I had to take Governmental Budgets & Financial Management.  Major stress involved, but I made it through with a B and I couldn't be happier. I have one more final to take and then a week off before classes start again.  Only four classes left for my masters and one on top of that for a certificate.  So by the end of the year I will have a masters in Public Administration and a graduate certificate in Government Contracting.  Not too shabby for the ripe old age of 25 (I'm not 25 yet, but will be by the time this is over)

John is in a wedding today, so this week has been full of wedding festivities.  And I must admit, I have had a lot of fun.  Wednesday night was the bachelorette party and most of Thursday was spent paying for the night before.  But it also involved the spa and naps and the rehearsal dinner.  The bride gave me a goody bag with lots of fun stuff and a piece of paper saying that Mockingjay had been preordered for me.  I am SO excited!  And today is the wedding.  I'm in charge of making sure John doesn't destroy his white shirt somehow before the ceremony.  If you knew John, you would understand that this is no easy task.

Weekend update

I finished book number six of the year, Beautiful Creatures.  It was pretty good.  I think I built it up a little too much and ended up a little disappointed.  Overall, I enjoyed it though.  I started Evernight a couple of days ago, it's a little slow, but ok so far.  The next Sookie Stackhouse book comes out soon, so I am really excited about it!  It kinda sucks because I don't have as much time for reading for fun with school.  


Speaking of school, I'm over it, as usual.  I'm taking a budgeting class and it is sooo lame!  Numbers are not my friends, that's why I was a communications major in undergrad.  I'm just hoping I can make it through this class with a decent grade.

I love my blog

I am crazy busy right now.  With work, school, wedding stuff and then regular life on top of that I am going non-stop.  I needed a little break and the first thing I thought about was writing a blog post.  This makes me smile, because I really do love this little blog of mine.  It's nothing big or fancy or anything extraordinary, but it's mine and I love it.  I love that sometimes it's my outlet, I can vent something that is bothering me or I can share something that makes me happy.  I love that is has opened many doors for meeting awesome people, some of which are truly best friends.  I really just love my blog.  I also love my followers.  My blog wouldn't be what it is without my friends that read it, leave comments and support me. So basically, I love my blog and I love all of you.  I hope you have a happy happy weekend!

Sometimes...

Sometimes I sit and think of how truly lucky I am.  Sometimes I do things for absolutely no reason and John loves me through it.  Sometimes I am a total witch and John is still there for me.  Sometimes I have no clue why he is as kind and loving towards me as he is.

I really am blessed to have such a wonderful man in my life.  He comes home in two days, I can't wait!!

Dreams

Lately I have been having very vivid dreams.  Which is not the norm for me.  I mean, there is this one recurring dream where all of my teeth fall out and I wake up and immediately verify that all of my teeth are in fact there, but that's an entirely different story.

So yeah, the past three night I've had crazy dreams and I remember ALL of them.  Normally I struggle to remember a dream moments after I wake up.  So here is here is the quick and dirty on each of these dreams, I have more detail if you need them, I'm pretty sure you won't:

Dream #1- I am running WAY late for my wedding.  The girl that was supposed to do my hair and make up decides she can't do it, and the person that has my veil (which was my 'something borrowed') decides she doesn't want me to wear it anymore.  I, of course, am a hot mess and it is already 8 at night, our wedding was supposed to start at 5.  My mom very calmly tells me, "It's ok, we'll just move the wedding to next Saturday."  I am like "fuhthewha? We can't do that!"  The dream ends with me in shambles and a hot mess in a wedding dress that was hideous.

Dream #2- I finally get to see my sweet little pup after she has been gone for a while, (in case you haven't noticed I am one of those crazy dog owners, don't judge) and all is well in life.  We are outside running around and playing, because we totes love to do those sorts of things, and serioulsy out of nowhere, she disappears.  I immediately start to freak out, like beside myself frantic and my dad and uncle show up.  They try to calm me down, and then start help me look for her.  Next thing I know THEY disappear too.  My dream ended with me sitting in the middle of the woods by myself, kinda like Bella in New Moon when Edward leaves her.

Dream #3- I'm flying back to SF to see my besties and my reservations have been cancelled. (I am normally a super planner when it comes to travel so this is a HUGE fear for me.  One that I almost freaked out about in SF and I was afraid everyone would hate me for)  We finally get my flight information straightened out and I realize someone has stolen my laptop bag and my purse.  Yet again, I was in shambles, in a dumpy airport.

So I am wondering, are these dreams telling my my life is about to fall apart?  Or that some major panic attack is in my future?  It's realllly weird though.

Ok, so I might seem fickle, but I changed my blog back to being open for all to see.  I've met some pretty awesome people through my blog, so why limit the awesomeness that is to come?
