A little bit of Amsterdam

So before I completely forget, I'm going to share a little about our visit to Amsterdam.  Unfortunately, I lost my camera in Germany, so all of the pictures I have from Amsterdam have been taken from other people we were with.  Hope you enjoy!

First of all, I want to say that Amsterdam was such a neat city.  It was so very diverse with all kinds of people and whatever food you could possibly want.  We found an Italian and a Thai restaurant that happened to be fabulous!

We wanted to get a canal cruise in, but since we were only there for a short time we couldn't swing one.  If we go back it will be on the top of our list!

This is a picture of John and I at the Heineken brewery.  It was my first trip to a brewery and surprisingly really cool.

Of course we went to the flower market, and I must say it was absolutely amazing (and ridiculously crowded).

Marci suggested we go to the Anne Frank House, however they are closed on Yom Kippur.  We had NO idea it was Yom Kippur and were pretty excited as we were approaching because there was no line.  Another thing added to the list of things to do should we return to Amsterdam.

Some other highlights included the Van Gogh Museum, Stroop Wafels (Mar, you are amazing for leading me to these yummies, I had like 100 of them while I was there), lots of fabulous shopping, meeting some Scottish people who were sure that Alabama was in between Texas and New Mexico and so many other things.  Overall, our time spent in Amsterdam was amazing and an experience I will never forget!

Stay tuned for Munich and Paris :)
